Send emails with Google SMTP Print

  • 319

If you use Gmail, you can send from your ForwardMX custom domains from your Gmail account, using our SMTP servers.

  1. Go to Gmail -> Settings -> Accounts and Import
  2. Add another email address you own under Aliases
  3. Set name & email. Untick “treat as in alias”
  4. SMTP server name is in your ForwardMX account. It will be something like mx1.forwardmx.net, port is always 587.
  5. Username can be found inside your ForwardMX account.
  6. Password is not your login password. It is the SMTP password shown inside your account.
  7. Leave TLS enabled
  8. Click “Add Account”
  9. Reload your Gmail account
  10. Done :)

Now you can choose which email to send from when you compose a new mail. It will also automatically use the right email when you respond to a mail.

The correct TXT record for forwarding and sending emails via ForwardMX is:

"v=spf1 include:_spf.forwardmx.net -all"
